Mo Farah - Greatest Ever?
Greatest ever British Sportsman/Woman?
Put forward on BBC today.
Ignoring the fact he wasn't born here, is he our greatest ever?

Re: Mo Farah - Greatest Ever?
Quite simply brilliant... but as Daley Thompson said... needs a world record before putting him on that pedestal... but as a race runner and tactician he is in a league of his own

Nurse Ratched 2:58 Sat Aug 29
Re: Mo Farah - Greatest Ever?
Steve Redgrave.

Re: Mo Farah - Greatest Ever?
I'm not sure world records are all that relevant in races from 5,000m and above where it's about tactics and pacing rather than speed from GO to WHOA.

All I will say is that African Sports Personality of The Year is going to be really close with Farah and Froome DUKING it out

He's no Steve prefontaine

Re: Mo Farah - Greatest Ever?
You can't have Steve Redgrave, as the Aussies would say that's just a sitting down sport and don't get Daley Thomson started on Redgrave

Re: Mo Farah - Greatest Ever?
I'd have Mo above Thompson and Redgrave

Too many parameters really...

Daley Thompson?
Joe Calzaghe?
Lewis Hamilton?
Bobby Moore?
Steve Redgrave?
Jessica Ennis?

He's British. He has a British passport. His father is British, and was born and grew up in Britain.

Don't know why people fuss about his nationality; never hear suggesting Bradley Wiggins isn't British enough...

Re: Mo Farah - Greatest Ever?
Wiggins is white though so thats ok.

I think the bloke is a squeaky voiced, Quorn munching cunt who, if he was not able to run really well, would be attacking merchant shipping from a speed boat with an AK47

There, i said it.

What a sad and unpleasant comment

Bradley Wiggins and Steve Redgrave are clearly better.

CB Fry
Represented England at football and cricket and also equalled the world long jump record.
Turned down the crown of Albania and had a party trick of jumping backwards onto the mantelpiece from a standing start. Which he could still do at 70

If Mo Farah ever sets foot in the UK perhaps he could try that
